TANCET MBA 2012

Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test popularly known as the TANCET is conducted by Anna University as per the directions of the Tamil Nadu Government. Every year thousands of aspirants sit for this exam hoping to pursue professional post graduate programmes. Several government and Private Institutes with M.Tech/M.E./MBA/MCA/M.Arch/M.Plan programmes are listed under TANCET. Candidates from outside Tamil Nadu state can also appear for the Common Entrance Test.

Eligibility Criteria

Students with a Bachelor's Degree in any discipline are eligible to appear for the TANCET 2012. However, students appearing in the final year of the qualifying examination are also eligible to appear in the Tamil Nadu common Entrance Test 2012.

Application Form

To obtain the TANCET 2012 application form in person a payment of Rs. 300/- is to be paid by cash or D.D. for general candidates and Rs. 150/- for SC/ST candidates, from select branches of State Bank of India.
To obtain the application form by post a D.D. of Rs. 350/- for general and Rs. 200/- for SC/ST candidates is to be sent to the Secretary, TANCET Examination Centre, Anna University Chennai 600 025. A requisition letter and a self-addressed slip to the secretary is also needed to be sent.

TANCET Exam Centres

Chennai, Coimbatore, Madurai, Salem, Trichy, Tirunelveli and Vellore are the expected centres for TANCET MBA colleges 2012.
Though no schedule has been declared as of now but seeing the evious years' patterns it is expected that the forms will be available from April, 2012, 1st week.

TANCET Syllabus

The TANCET 2012 paper will contain 100 objective questions with five alternative answers and negative marking of 1/4th marks for each incorrect answer. The total allotted time is 2 hours.
