XLRI Placement 2012: Marketing & Finance hot choice of recruiters

XLRI has completed its final placements successfully. In this placement season marketing and finance were two sectors which emerged as hot choice of students. Total 180 students participated in the placement process. To recruit students of XLRI more than 60 companies participated in the placement session. Besides the regular recruiters there were 16 new companies which visited the campus to recruit the fresh talent from XLRI.

As per the placement report the highest international package offered by OLAM International was USD 50,000 per annum, where as highest domestic offer was Rs. 15.5 lakh per annum. The average domestic pay package was Rs. 11.42 lakh, however the maiden offer was Rs. 10.83 lakh per annum.

A representative from the placement cell of the institute, said, "Beating the uptight market conditions, XIMB is among the first few campuses to register 100 per cent placements, reiterating the strong academic and industry orientation of the institute."

Some of the top notch companies which participated in the placement process were OLAM International, Golman Sachs, JP Morgan, Coco-Cola Bevarages, RB, Tata Motors, HSBC Bank, ICICI Bank, TCS, Idea, Tata Steal, Godrej, Marico, HCCBPL, USL Group, Dr. Reddy's and SBI Capital Market. Some new companies which recruited students were Ashok Leyland, HDFC Life, Emami, Shapoorji Pallonji, HSBC and United Breweries Ltd., Goldman Sachs among them.

Students received offers have diverse profiles and roles which range from Corporate Finance, Investment Banking, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, Business Consulting, IT consulting to Corporate HR.
